In the afternoon of March 27, Xiaomi finally announced the new flagship mobile phone Mi MIX 2S. According to Xiaomi not only Mi MIX 2S is the best camera phone they have launched, but it is also the country’s first Qualcomm 845 flagship.
In terms of price, the price of 6GB + 64GB is 525$ or RS 34000, the price of 6GB + 128GB is 570$ or RS 37000, and the price of 8GB + 256GB is 636$ or RS 41000.
Design And Camera
Compared to the MI MIX 2, MI MIX 2S has the same four sides curved ceramic body which comes in two colors, ceramic black, and ceramic white. 2S’s biggest change is the rear dual camera, a combination of 12 Mp wide-angle lens + 12 Mp telephoto lens, with 1.4μm pixels, Dual pixel autofocus for fast focus, support for four-axis optical image stabilization.
Mi Mix 2s scores 97 points in Dxomark which is equals to iPhone X.
Performance, Ram, Storage, and Processor
Mi Mix 2s is powered by the new powerful and latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. Its higher variant is equipped with 8Gb Ram and 256Gb of storage.
It comes in three variants
- 6GB Ram, 64 Gb storage, and Snapdragon 845 processor
- 6GB Ram, 128 Gb storage, and Snapdragon 845 processor
- 8GB Ram, 256 Gb storage, and Snapdragon 845 processor
Talking about the benchmarks: Mi Mix 2s has a whopping score of 270000 which is yet to beat and is highest till now in ANTUTU.
Wireless Charging
Mi mix 2s supports wireless charging at 7.5W which is good and its top end model includes a wireless charger in the box.
If you are buying base models you have to buy a wireless charger separately which is not much costlier, in conference Mi officials addressed that Mi wireless charger could be used with any other smartphone supporting wireless charging including Apple.
Mi wireless charger will cost just $15 or Rs 1000, which is great in comparison to other which are costing more than $300.
AI
In the year 2018 Ai will be the trend and yes Xiaomi has also mentioned in their conference about Ai features.
According to officials, it does support AI based voice Assistant and camera features.

My opinion
I am a little bit of disappointed by Xiaomi, I thought that there will be a new design and better front camera but that’s it. It is the successor of Mi Mix 2 with the same design, fast processor, and better camera.
If you don’t care about the front camera which is sadly 5Mp, this phone is a real value for money in High-end phones.
So, you can definitely buy it if it comes to India or Us early or else wait for Nokia and Oneplus for their new smartphones.
