Xiaomi Mi 6x or Mi A2 was launched in China yesterday, looking at the specs and build quality Xiaomi’s midrange is definitely a budget smartphone killer. Every smartphone has some negatives so does Mi 6x, that is its battery life and lack of 3.5 mm headphone jack but here comes a smartphone to give it a tough competition that’s the new Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. Xiaomi Mi 6x or Mi A2 is equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 660 which is premium midrange chipset which is getting popular in 2018.
Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is powered by Snapdragon 636 which is another premium midrange chip which is also present in Redmi Note 5 Pro. Snapdragon 636, if compared to Snapdragon 660, is almost same in performance in day to day usage but practically Snapdragon 660 is 10 to 15% more powerful than 636.

Both the smartphones have the rear dual camera setup but Mi 6x camera is better than Zenfone Max M1’s. Zenfone Max M1 has a great Display but lacs Protection from Corning Gorilla Glass, it too has a great battery life and sound, much better than Xiaomi Mi 6x or Mi A2.

It has a Front 20 Mega-Pixel camera with IMX376 sensor, it supports soft light self-timer and AI beauty features. Mi 6x or Mi A2 is powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU by Qualcomm. This processor provides great balance in between power and performance. Snapdragon 660 is slightly more powerful than Snapdragon 636.

Zenfone Max Pro M1
Zenfone Max Pro M1 is powered by the Snapdragon 636 processor with Adreno 509 GPU by Qualcomm, this is the same processor which is equipped with the new Redmi Note 5 Pro. This processor shares lots of similarities between 660 but is less powerful in GPU than 660.

Final Conclusion
Mi 6x or MI A2 is better than Asus Zenfone Max in Camera, Design, and features but Zenfone Max pro M1 is better in Battery, Display, and Sound.
If you ask me for my advice I will say, If you are a heavy user and play Games a lot and watch movies than you should go for Max pro M1 but If you want awesome pictures, Ai features, great Selfies and fast charging then Mi A2 is your smartphone of choice.
Note that Mi 6x doesn’t have 3.5mm headphone jack.
