Xiaomi has announced a partnership with HRX by Hrithik Roshan, to launch a cheaper version of  Xiaomi’s Mi Band 2.

Xiaomi Mi Band Hrx edition

Xiaomi specs sheet tells that Mi Band HRX Edition has 23 days of battery life, which is more than 10% of mi band 2 battery life. The Downside of this band is it doesn’t have a Heart rate sensor. I think Xiaomi Mi Band Hrx edition is not that great because of lack of heart rate sensor and the claimed battery life is extended because of the lack of heart rate sensor and that’s why it is priced lesser than the Mi band 2.

Other specs include 0.42” OLED screen with scratch-resistant glass ” which i didnt think is scratch resistance“. It has a pedometer, monitors fitness and tracks sleep. It is IP67-rated and Bluetooth 4.0 for smartphone connectivity. its weighted 7gram without a strap.

Sale starts from 18 September on the Mi Store with the retail price of Rs1,299.

The Big question is should you buy it?

My answer is no, Go with the mi band 2 which has heart rate sensor or other bands with heart rate sensor.
